Description

To toast or not to toast…  not to toast. A toast to smoothie bowls? Yes.

Brighten up your mornings with a delicious and nutritious breakfast! Super easy to make and much sexier than toast, ditch the bread for breakfast and add a splash of colour to your morning ritual.

 

Ingredients

1 punnet blueberries + ½ cup extra
1/2 cup white quinoa
1 1/2 cup almond milk
½ cup raspberries
8 strawberries
1 tbsp. black chia
Slivered almonds
Edible flower mix – optional garnish

Directions

In a small pot add the white quinoa with the almond milk. Bring the quinoa to the boil and then turn the stove down and allow the quinoa to simmer, stirring gently for 10-15 minutes.

Place the cooked quinoa in a blender jug.

Add the punnet of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries to the jug.

Blend on ‘smoothie’ setting or until the ingredients resemble a smoothie.

Pour into serving bowls (4 small bowls) and top with chia seed, slivered almonds, extra blueberries and flowers if using.
