The deliciously, satisfying guis...' />
My husband hates broccoli…
but he doesn’t realise just how much broccoli he devours with the remark “this is tasty”
The deliciously, satisfying guise. Have you a broc hater? Take it slow and steady, after all we crawl before we walk and run.
I started out sneaking it into other recipes, or saying it was something else until after the meal. It’s a little cheeky, but it works – they can’t disguise the fact that they’ve just inhaled a plate of the good green Broc, so when they’re told what it really is the passionate hate is long foregone. All they can remember is a tasty dish.
The only hassle with this is that on each occasion you bring Broccoli into the house and they witness it, the same tirade of “why’d you get that” ensues. Simple solution – grow it behind something or buy it when they’re not around.
Despite the distaste for this versatile veg, I’m yet to have any haters for this super easy side.
It can be eaten freshly tossed and still warm or chilled for lunches the next couple of days; taking all of 10 minutes to pull together it’s simply delicious on it’s own. Enjoy x
